Search toolbars
There is a proliferation of search toolsbars on the market. Obviously they are easy to code and give people a consistent heads-up on search. I have one browser where I've installed about every toolbar you can get your hands on. It fills up almost hal the page. I don't recommend doing this, but I wanted to see the differences of the respective toolbars. What I notice is that there is no difference. It reminds me of dashboard software that came out many years ago. They all have their respective search function, a pop-up blocker, links to other goodies within the search engine itself. Nothing too spectacular or even useful anymore. Why do they want to get closer to the desktop 24/7? Because that's where the control is, that's where the money is. This intrusive trend is troubling. There is so much about us as individuals on our PC's, that I'm not willing to let everyone know about it. All the toolbars are coming off and I'll be offering a jumping off point online which will have all the major search boxes without the toolbars. It's totally a place to use for anonymous searching.
I should have it ready in the next day or two and have the URL here. Bookmark it and get the search without getting the toolbar privacy intrusion.
