Associated Press looking to develop their own search
The Associated Press is looking to get their own search engine to search news stories past and present. With all the content they potentially have, this could be something that could be helpful, especially if you're doing research. There really isn't a good lookup for archival news stories, at least none that I know of except for Lexis Nexis. I think this is a trend that any entity with lots of content is going to be at, looking to organize it better and create value for themselves rather than some other search entity. Of course this would be used by their membership which includes newspapers, broadcasting and such. Here a link to the article in dailypress.com.
