There aren't many search tools online that a person can get excited about. Many software programs give only a portion of what you need to accomplish online. So what about a good site to do searches across any search engine you choose? That's what I like about Queryster.com. It gives you choices doing a search for any search engine at your fingertips. This can be a great way to check on how well your site is ranking as well as just general searching for information.

What makes this site valuable is that it is simple. There isn't any mystery as to what search engine you're using because you just click on the one you want for the search term you put in. What could be easier? Instead of going directly to the search page of each individual engine, simply do it all in one spot! As a result of the nice setup and complete inclusion of all major search engines, it's become my page of choice for searches. Obviously, Queryster.com does some small banner ads up on top of the page, but they're really not in the way. They're not banner ads per say, rather they are linked tags.

If you're looking to do website promotion, Queryster.com is a great way to do research on who is ranking well for a certain topic across many search properties. It also displays the ads for Google and other paid advertisers so you can see what's being done there too. Nothing is missing for helping you in your search engine strategy research. You'll also find some of the search engines you may not be as familiar with but have good traffic numbers. Entities like AllTheWeb or Wisenut and some of the popular meta-search engines.

When you get an login password, you can add up to 25 search engines to your display on the home page. These little icons make it so easy to go from searching one item across many results pages. For those of you who would like the power of this search tool resident in your browser, they also offer a toolbar. I know this toolbar thing is getting out of hand, that's why this one makes more sense. It has a drop down box for the search engine you would like to query with the search term you're using. I don't know how much information it gathers from you when you search. So read the fine print before installing the toolbar. One thing I found a little unusual was that there was no good information on the company behind it. It's uses a DMOZ directory by default on it's homepage, but I don't know what entity spawned Queryster. I'm probably stupid for not finding it on the website, but I'm not going to dig endlessly. It looks almost like a Google or Alexa product. It has that feel.

No matter who is behind the Queryster.com website, I find it to be a helpful search tool which can help you in your website promotion efforts. It delivers all the search engines in one simple page without having to jump all over the internet to find what you're looking for.
