Resumes a thing of the past?
Here is interesting article about résumés becoming a thing of the past. With the static nature of a résumé or a personal document, it only makes sense that it might become something old in the world of dynamic information. Perhaps people will be able to find out information about a prospective employee just by searching, one never knows. I think it will be easier than ever to find out what is actually true on a résumé as opposed to the past where it was somewhat difficult to tell somebody was telling the truth or not.
One of the casualties of our new online world will be the inflated résumé. I think it will be just too difficult to make yourself look better than you are as in the past. I'm not saying I did this kind of thing, I didn't. I always tell the truth on a résumé because I know that I can come back to bite you. Telling the truth is always better because then you don't have to make up stories to cover your lies. It's too bad in a way that this would happen to all those good résumé builders who are just telling stories are fables about themselves. It made for some pretty good creative writing!
