Microsoft IE 7, only for SP2?

I've heard some rumblings that the new Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 is going to be available only in for Service Pack 2 users of XP. I guess this wouldn't be surprising and now that Service Pack 2 seems to be a reliable package of upgrades, then this would be a natural. People should be upgrading to this anyway as their critical updates and security holes that are fixed. And I think that's key for why Internet Explorer would need to be used with that pack. It's all about the security and holes that it's trying to fix. Internet Explorer has those in the older versions that haven't been updated. I think it's great that Microsoft takes their security more seriously than ever and I think they're doing pretty well at it. I'll be excited to try Internet Explorer 7 as I still think it's going to be the best browser out there that will be able to handle almost anything. Of course, the whole Mozilla project and the Firefox browser is very good, so that's something to be watching for and using as well.
